Junior Beach Volleyball Season


JR Beach Season registration will re open on May 28th. All players that register will be placed in the 5-6:30pm practice time. Check with Leilani for details. 

Beach volleyball is now a scholarship sport at many universities. The Woks Up Beach Season is designed introduce players to the world of Beach Volleyball. Let them experience all the same skills as indoor, just add sand/sun/wind/rain. This will refine their skills, footwork, and anticipation on the court. Players will experience every aspect of defense and offense therefore become better/faster/more explosive indoor players because of beach.

Wok’s Up 2020 Beach Season: (Details subject to change)

All Ages – Starts/Ends: May 26th- June Monday and Wednesday (All ages will train together)

Beginning June 8th, Skill levels will be broken out into two separate sessions

Beginners – Starts/Ends:  June 1st -Augusts 26th Monday and Wednesday:  5-6:40pm

Intermediate – Starts/Ends: June 1st-Augusts 26th Monday and Wednesday: 7-9pm

Where: Wok’s Up 17539 SE Stark St, Portland, OR 97233

How Much: $550  (Includes 2 practices a week/ 3 doubles and 2 quad tournaments


Wok’s Up 2020 Beach Season starts May 25th and runs until August 26th.

Throughout the Summer there are several Junior Beach Tournaments hosted by Woks Up Beach Volleyball.  

Coaches: Leilani Kamahoahoa-Noga (Former AVP Professional from 2003 to 2009)

Leilani started playing volleyball at Canby High School and finished with all state honors. She played at Seattle Pacific University as an outside hitter and ended her 4 year career with all-region honors, breaking 4 career SPU records (digs, aces, kills, and highest kill percentage). She finished her volleyball career playing beach volleyball for the AVP in 2009.

Leilani Kamahoahoa has been working with volleyball players up and down the West coast for more than 15 years. Leilani has been involved with clubs, high schools, and colleges. She has worked with players ranging from the ages of 7 years old to adult professional athletes, both men and women.

Her passion now lies in coaching players at all levels, in hopes of helping them realize their potential, broadening each individual’s goals, and to help them be as successful as they can be, both on and off the court.
