Trailsend VBC Volunteering at OC Snuggle

By Charlie, 12/07/19, 8:00PM PST

OC Snuggle provides homeless youth in the Oregon City Community with a sense of security, warmth & comfort that only a blanket can do. Each year OC Schools provide a list of homeless youth that would benefit from these blankets. These youth are not homeless like you would imagine. They are children in between homes. Foster homes, temporary shelters , etc. None the less, they are in need of love and comfort these blankets provide to them. Today, Trailsend Volleyball Club members and families contributed their time and canned foods for this event. There were 30+ of the Trailsend family making blankets. We have no idea who these blankets wind up with, but once a child snuggles in it, all the love that went into that blanket will be with the child. Many of the members of Trailsend VBC are also from OCHS and OC Schools. This gives much more meaning to the efforts of everyone today. With the season early, this was a great way for the Trailsend VBC family to bond and work together.

Here is a link to the Photo Album of players and family building the blankets.

Thank You! To everyone that came out to help today. Know that there will be a child in need of love, snuggling in the blanket you made very soon.

Thank You Leilani (Mrs Claus) for the pizza party following the event today.
